Watson Talks Favorites

Colby Watson is a mountain of a tackle at 6'5'' and 320 pounds. He may project into a guard at the next level, but has the aggression and skill set to be a rock on the offensive line. His recruitment has been relativity slow, but he hopes a good showing at Florida State's junior day will raise his stock up enough for an offer.

"I think everything is good right now with me and Florida State, Coach Trickett and I have been getting to know each other recently," Watson discussed. "I am attending the junior day up there, and may camp there too. I'm hoping an offer comes soon from them."

Watson will make the trek from Pensacola to Tallahassee this weekend, and said he's looking forward to getting on campus.

"The thing that sets Florida State a part right now is that they have good academics and a nice facility, I think that's important," he said. After his FSU trip this weekend, Watson, will regain his focus on scheduling a few more camps and staying in shape.

"I'm not sure which combine I'll go to, but I am going to try and go to some camps this summer. I'm working on staying in shape along with getting better footwork," Watson stated.

Watson has his eye on a couple of SEC powers, but maintains that FSU is still one of his top schools.

"I really like Alabama, LSU, Florida, FSU right now. I'd say Alabama and Florida would be my top two schools," Watson replied.

Colby's taking care of business on both the football and classroom fronts, and showing leadership in the two arenas.

"My grades are good and I have taken the ACT but plan on taking it again in April. I have a 3.56 GPA currently too," Watson finished.
