Time to Buy Season Tickets

With a little over a week to go in Spring practice it is very clear that this team is loaded. FSU put themselves back on the map in 2010 and there is starting to be some buzz that this could be a National Championship type team in 2011.

The Noles will play seven home game games in 2011 and open the season with three of them.

The first two weeks should be a pair of "tailgate days" with home dates with Louisiana-Monroe(9/3) and Charleston Southern(9/10). Both games provide the opportunity for the team to get on the same page and work out the kinks from August Camp.

Week three brings perhaps the nation's top non-conference game to Tallahassee when the Sooner's of Oklahoma(9/17) come to town. This game will have the feel of an elimination game for the National Title and it will give FSU their first chance at revenge. A lopsided loss in Norman last year still leaves a bad taste in their mouth and you can bet that FSU will be ready to play. OU is regarded as one of the front-runners for the big prize and return plenty of talent.

FSU hits the road for three ACC contests(Clemson, Wake Forest, Duke) before returning home for a pair of divisional conference games with Maryland(10/22) and North Carolina State(10/29). NCSU gave FSU a heart-breaking defeat in 2010 and Maryland has one of the top young QBs in football in Danny O'Brien.

After hitting the road to travel to Boston College(11/3), FSU will will finish their ACC slate with dreaded 'Canes(11/12) and Virginia(11/19). Coach Fisher humiliated Randy Shannon last year in his house, a loss that was largely seen as the end of the Shannon era. FSU and Miami have played some of the best games EVER in college football and next year's edition should be another. UVA is on the rise and are not to be taken lightly.

The season ends with a trip to Gainesville and you can bet that the Gator's want to try and reverse their slide under first year HC Will Muschamp. FSU's 31-7 beatdown of UF last year was a long time coming.

FSU's glory days were from 1987 to 2000 where the Noles FINISHED in the AP top 5 for 14 consecutive years under legendary coach Bobby Bowden. The general feeling is that this program is about to embark on a similar run and you will want to be a part of it!
