Charting The Quarterbacks

Florida State is very high on Florida's Big Three prep quarterbacks -- Xaiver Lee (Daytona Beach Seabreeze), Cornelius Ingram (Hawthorne) and Drew Weatherford (Land O' Lakes). However, FSU also has its eyes on a trio of quarterbacks outside the Sunshine State. Click here for all the details.

According to a good source, Florida State is very high on Florida's Big Three prep quarterbacks -- Xaiver Lee (Daytona Beach Seabreeze), Cornelius Ingram (Hawthorne) and Drew Weatherford (Land O Lakes).

Lee and Ingram have already been offered and they both rank close to the top of the Seminoles recruiting board. Weatherford hasn't been offered yet but that will most likely change down the road according to my source.

Weatherford along with Ingram have plans to attend the Florida State football camp this summer. FSU's coaching staff will keep a very close watch all three players throughout the year. In fact, two Seminole coaches will attending a practice at Seabreeze high school next week to watch Lee.

Other quarterbacks to watch are Chad Henne of West Lawn (PA), Rhett Bomar of Grand Prairie (TX) and Robert Reid of Galena Park (TX).

Henne has been offered by FSU but the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder doesn't list the 'Noles among his favorite teams.

Bomar, a 6-foot-4, 205-pounder, is a skilled passer who also been offered by FSU. He lists Texas Oklahoma, Florida State and Georgia as his early favorites. The word on street inside Texas is that it will come down to Texas and Oklahoma but Seminoles and Bobby Bowden might have something to say about that before its all said and done. Bomar also has plans to attend the Florida State this summer.

Monday evening Jamie Newberg of the Insiders.com caught up with another outstanding quarterback prospect from Texas in Reid.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound standout with 4.4 40 speed, has a ton off offers, including Arizona, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Wisconsin.

According to Newberg, Florida State just received his highlight tape and the Seminoles are about ready to jump into the sweepstakes by offering him a scholarship. Reid, who list Florida State as one of his early favorites, will attend the Texas A&M Nike camp next week. The good news for Nole fans is that he doesn't list Texas or Oklahoma as schools he has interest.

Inside Texas list Bomar and Reid as their top two players in the state on the IT Top 100 in Texas.
