Williams, was the anchor to the Haines City Hornets defense. The stocky middle linebacker recorded over 100 tackles as a junior. As a senior he's ready to pick back up were he left off.
"I do whatever it takes to win," Williams said. "I go all out. I have a mentality on the field to do whatever it takes even if it's meeting the full-back head on to allow my teammates to make a play."
The Florida native has an advantage over the competition because of his outstanding strength. He is one of top weightlifters in Polk County. Williams has benched pressed up to 400 pounds and he has a maxim squat of 500 pounds.
What teams does he like?
Florida State was my favorite team growing up," he said. "I've liked their winning ways and I love Bobby Bowden. "I also like Auburn and Florida."
Williams, who also excels in the classroom by carrying a 3.7 grade point average, knows what he's looking for in a school.
"Academics are first," he said. "I want to major in Sociology. I'm looking for a team that has good football tradition and I want to be able to get along with the coaches." Williams hopes to attend the Florida and Florida State team camps this summer.
