"Coach Steele has already been by my school and he has called me on the phone. When he was at my school, he told my coach that I had an offer to Florida State. When he called me on the phone, he told me that Florida State needs corners and that he likes the way I play. He also showed me their depth chart."

Walker has a top seven in no order of Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arkansas and Louisiana State.

Walker, who is being considered for All-American honors, has a reputation for being a physical corner.

"I'm very aggressive and I like to play in the receiver's face," he said. "Teams didn't throw in my direction last year."

Distance is no factor the Waco high school standout.

"It doesn't matter to me," he said. "At first I wanted to play in the Big 12 but now that's not important to me."
