FSU High On Georgia Pair
Coach Haggins dropped by and he was impressed with Thomas Brown and defensive end Brandon Lang," Tucker head football coach Bill Ballard said. "He told me that he was going to offer both of them over the weekend."
Lang, a 6-foot-5 and 220 pound rush end, has been timed in 40-yard dash in the 4.5 range. As a junior, he recorded a whopping 16 sacks.
"I haven't had a chance to sit down and talk with Brandon yet," Ballard said. "I know he really likes Georgia."
Brown, a running back/cornerback has been getting most of the attention for good reason.
"We have had 72 schools come through here so far," Ballard said. "Schools as far away as Arizona State and Oregon have come to watch Thomas. He's not a kid that comes around very often. He has over a 900 on the SAT with straight A's. He's very a very hard-worker and self-motivated."
Where do the Noles stand with Brown, who rushed for over 1,700 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior?
"Maryland is kind of the front-runner for him now," Ballard said. "Thomas studies football and watches all of the games closely. He really likes how Ralf Friedgen coaches. He also likes Florida State a lot. Thomas plans to take a visit down to Florida State this summer."
According to Coach Ballard, Thomas also likes Georgia and Auburn.
Will Brown or Lang commit early?
"I think most of my players will go through the process and visit several schools this summer," Ballard said. "Thomas is on only one that might commit early. He could make a decision by the end of the summer."
The Territory will catch with Lang and Brown soon for an interview.
