Morelli Talks Up Florida State

Anthony Morelli, who could be the nation's top quarterback for the class of 2004, has busy summer plans. Recently the caught up with the 6-foot-4, 210-pound standout to discuss those plans. Click here for the details and Morelli's comments on the Seminoles.

"I just got back from an unofficial visit to UCLA and I had a good time," said Morelli, who has a rocket for an arm. "UCLA is in my top five along with Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Florida State and Notre Dame."

What up next for the Penn Hills senior to be?

"I'll probably attend the Pitt camp which is sometime in June," he said "I will attend the Elite 11 camp on July 20th. After that I might make some unofficial trips. If that doesn't work out, I'll take some official ones in the fall.

Morelli has considered committing early if he finds the right place. One of those situations would be Florida State.

"Florida State has a good quarterback situation," he said. "There a possibility of me starting there by my red shirt freshman or sophomore season. Florida State's quarterback coach Dickey came by the school and called me on the phone. He was telling me a lot of stuff about Florida State. I definitely would like to try and get down there for a visit sometime in the summer or fall."

Some coach will be very lucky when he gets Morelli's signature because he eats, drinks and sleeps football.

"I use to play baseball and football but I quit after my freshman year so I can concentrate on football," he said. "My father has been working with me since the 4th grade. I put all my time into football now.
