Hometown: Tampa (Berkeley Prep)
Position: Wide Receiver/Safety
Top 3: Florida, Notre Dame, USC
Considered a potential game changer by many, Scout.com has stuck with the Safety projection due to his potential range(elite). It is also potentially an easier transition for the small school star to make. Bottom line, he could play either spot at any school he chooses.
Agholor has played it very close to the vest and is expected to make a 'quiet' decision on his own time. He has officially visited ND and UF already. He is very likely to visit USC down the road. USC has been in this one the longest, there are tie's to the program, and there are quarterbacks waiting in the wings. We will pick them here in what could be seen as a mild upset.
Hometown: Palm Beach (Gardens)
Position: Offensive Tackle
Top 4: Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Alabama
One of the top tackles in the state, Young is another player that has played it relatively close to the vest. He has officially visited his top four schools(each of the above) and recently named a top two of Auburn and Georgia. Does he take a fifth visit? If so, where does he go? Miami might work that last visit and they are considered a sleeper here. Oklahoma has been a school he has been high on at various times.
Despite taking early visits this one is expected to go the distance. UF was in good shape for a long time and they will likely make a hard run at him between now and signing day. However it does not appear that any of the visits topped the first one........and that was to Auburn. We think the Tiger's hold on here.
Top 5: Florida State, Florida, Miami, LSU, Alabama
The state's premier pure corner, Howard has been recruited very hard for a long time. Howard will have an opportunity for a second big class state title next Saturday night in Orlando.
He will likely take all five visits, but it is the in-state schools that have the best chance. UF led early and Miami has gone hard, but FSU took the lead over the summer and we think the Noles hold on here.
Prediction: Florida State
Hometown: Miami (Christopher Columbus)
Position: Defensive Back
Top 4: Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Purdue
One of the top athletes in Florida, Bush consistently put some eye-popping combine numbers out there in the off-season. He is capable of playing anywhere in the secondary.
He has officially visited both of the Alabama schools as well as Purdue where his brother plays. He has family ties to Miami and has always liked the 'Canes. Tough call right now, but it appears that Auburn is in the lead.
Hometown: Daytona Beach (Mainland)
Position: Defensive Line
Top 4: Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State
Williams just completed an outstanding senior season leading his team to the state semi-finals. He has perfect size at DE and is one of the more coveted defensive linemen in the state.
He will likely visit his top four, at this time he has only visited Auburn and they are the clear leader. UF is going to make a hard run here and his visit will be key. Williams has a good relationship with the FSU staff. Tough call right now, but we think he ends up in Gainesville.
Hometown: Tampa (Jefferson)
Position: Linebacker/Defensive End
Top 5: South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Miami, and USC
One of the more intriguing prospects in the state. McCord is long and athletic and could potentially play a number of different defensive positions. He won a state title as a junior.
He had a team mate enroll at Georgia a year ago, he has always been high on Florida, Miami has come after him hard, USC is in it despite the distance, but it appears that South Carolina is in pole position today. He has family in the area and they have made a lasting impression.
Prediction: South Carolina
Hometown: Fort Myers (Island Coast)
Top 4: Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Nebraska, Tennessee
Diggs is a hard worker with a keen understanding of the game. He is a hitter and physical force in the secondary. He has officially visited each of his top four and is expected to make a decision at the Army All-American game.
Nebraska made an early run, but distance appears to be a little bit of a factor. Diggs had terrific visits to the other three and each has led at some point in the process. His father played at South Carolina and we think that will put the 'Cocks over the top here.
Prediction: South Carolina
