GA RB will visit Tally

The South is once again loaded with talented running backs. Recently, Florida State offered Thomas Brown, who also doubles as a defensive back. Click hear to read about his summer plans.

The 5-foot-10 and 185 pounder with sub 4.4 40 speed recently got back from an unofficial visit to Georgia. He also has plans to check out Florida State this summer.

"The Georgia visit was better that I expected," Brown, who rushed for over 1,700 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior, said. "In July I will check out Florida State. I'm not sure if I will attend their camp or make an unofficial visit."

Brown grew up a fan of both Florida State and Georgia but he wasn't ready to list a favorite. Right now the Tucker high school running back list Florida State, Georgia, Maryland, Notre Dame, Auburn and LSU as some of teams he's considering.

Brown, who also is a track star, compares himself to former Nole who also had some jets.

"Some people compare me to Warrick Dunn," Brown humbly said. "My fastest 100 meter time is 10.65."

Brown doesn't have a preference on playing close to him. He also has talked some with teammate Brandon Lang about attending the same school.

"It doesn't matter if I play close to home or not," he said. "I want to play someplace where I'm happy and comfortable. Brandon and I have talked about playing at the same school somewhat."

Florida State and LSU are the two schools that have both offered Brown and Lang.

The Tucker high school senior to be told The Territory that he'll look closely at depth, early playing time, tradition, coaching and academics before deciding on a school.

Brown is on track to fully qualify with a 2.9 grade point average and a 910 on the SAT.
