Hometown: Manchester, England
Signed: Marist for basketball
JUCO: Saddleback College
Watson graduated from Burnade High School in Manchester, England, in 2006. He spent some time working on his game in Spain before becoming one of the top European recruits for NCAA basketball. After redshirting as a freshman in 2009, he played for Marist in 2010. He played in 29 games, averaging 16 minutes, 4.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
After some prodding, he gave football a shot and left for California, where he played at Saddelback College last season.
It did not take long for the offers to start piling in, particularly after blazing a 4.72 40 time -- very rare company for a big fella.
Watson has added close to 40 pounds since leaving the hardwood. He is now one of the most coveted JUCO offensive linemen in the country.
The Tigers are the leader in the clubhouse.
It is believed that Watson has two years to play two. He was listed as a freshman on the Saddleback roster last season, so there is chance that he has three to play three. He just turned 23 years old.
FSU has Bjoern Werner and Daniel Glauser on the roster, and both players are from Europe. That might really help this weekend, as Watson may feel more comfortable with a pair of players that are in the same shoes.
NoleDigest.com will have more after Watson's visit.
