Winston committed to Florida State last summer, but that has not stopped Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, and Auburn from trying to make in-roads with him. Despite consistent reports to the contrary, Winston has never said anything that would make a person believe he would sign anywhere else.
The UnderArmour All-American has proven that he likes the limelight and it would be a surprise if Winston signs anywhere else. This weekend should end any doubt.
The world class track stand-out made an early commitment to FSU and has been rock solid. He took an official visit to Texas AM, likely to check out their terrific track program.
The speedster is expected to make an early impact on special teams. No real concern on this visit.
The first thing that has to happen is for Peat to actually get on the plane and come on the visit. It is a long trip and it is very much unclear on where FSU stands with this national recruit. Things have trended down from the Spring and Summer when FSU was seen as a leader.
To close here Peat will need to feel like FSU offers something more than the others. Geographically it makes the least sense. After Jordan Prestwood's early departure, there is a clear hole at offensive tackle and Peat is the type of talent that can fill that hole.
This one should be interesting and we likely will not know much before Wednesday. It appears to be wide open at this time.
