Sources: Jones to Return for Senior Season

According to sources, Florida State linebacker Christian Jones has decided to remain in school and play out his senior season.

No official word from the school, but I've learned through multiple sources close to Jones that the decision has been made, barring a last minute change of heart.

Jones and safety Lamarcus Joyner are the lone juniors that decided not to make the jump to the NFL.

You can expect a formal announcement from the school sometime in the next few days, although Jones doesn't have to officially announce until next week.

Jones would have likely been taken somewhere between the third and fifth round, but has the opportunity to work him self into the top two rounds with a productive senior season.

Jones led FSU in tackles this season at the weakside linebacker position, and entered the 2012 season as the team's top returning tackler at the strongside linebacker position.

Jones is a physical specimen that has all the tools to be a first round pick. If he can improve his technique and discipline on the field over the next season, I see no reason why he won't be taken as such.
