Jeremy Kerr Flips Commitment to FSU

Florida State has flipped a former Miami commitment with just two weeks to signing day.

Noledigest has confirmed that St. Petersburg (Fla.) three-star tight end Jeremy Kerr has informed the Florida State coaching staff of his intentions of becoming a Seminole.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound tight end has been committed to Miami since June.

After having an in-home visit with Jimbo Fisher on Monday night, Kerr was convinced that Tallahassee was the right place for him.

After talking it over with friends and family, Kerr decided to make it official Wednesday morning.

"Well it wasn't an easy choice at all but it just made sense," Kerr said of his decision. "I prayed about it and talked to some family and friends. And that's just were I felt more comfortable. Miami is an awesome university but it just didn't fit me."

While Kerr has been recruited as a tight end, he also possesses the size and length to move to offensive tackle somewhere down the line.

Look for more to come later.
