Billy Napier headed back to Tuscaloosa

After less than a month on the job, Florida State tight ends coach Billy Napier will be moving on.

Napier is returning to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he will become the newest member of the Alabama Crimson Tide coaching staff. Napier will reportedly coach wide receivers for the Tide'.

Napier will be replacing former Crimson Tide coach Mike Groh, who departed earlier this week to become an assistant coach for the Chicago Bears.

Just when Jimbo Fisher and had inched a bit closer to completing his coaching staff, there are now two positions to be filled. With just 28 days until the start of spring practice, Fisher does not have a lot of time to waste.

As of right now Fisher has just two coaches on the offensive side of the ball; wide receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey and newly hired running backs coach Randy Sanders.

Not only are there vacancies at tight ends coach and quarterbacks coach, but the title of offensive coordinator is also vacant at the moment. It was widely believed that Napier would receive that title.

Napier was set to make $275,000 annually for the next two years at FSU. Since leaving for another athletics job is considered a breach of contract, FSU will receive $75,000 from someone.
