Fitzpatrick currently holds over 20 offers including Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State and South Carolina.
There is a lot to like about Florida State according to Fitzpatrick.
"I really like the location, schedule and the defensive back coaches," said Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick hasn't visited Florida State yet, but that will change after the season.
"I definitely plan on going there after the season," said Fitzpatrick. "Probably in February or April."
Fitzpatrick's family will not have a problem with him leaving the north.
"I have a lot of family in the south and we spend time there throughout the year so I know they wouldn't mind the south," Fitzpatrick said. "At the end of the day they want what's best for me so they would be okay with my choice."
The 6-foot-1, 186-pound corner has eight tackles on the season to go along with an interception that he returned for a touchdown. Fitzpatrick believes that he will bring a lot to the table for whatever school he chooses.
"I'm really dedicated to the game, a dynamic player and a leader," Fitzpatrick said. Committing to a school is only one of the decisions he will have to make during the coming year. Fitzpatrick has been invited to both the Under Armour All-American game and the Army All-American game. He plans on making his commitment when he feels comfortable with his choice.
