He currently has offers from Florida State and Miami, and Alabama, UGA, and Oregon are all showing interest. Those five schools currently make up his top group. Jackson's family would like him to stay close to home, but he will go wherever he feels he has the best opportunity.
Jackson grew up a fan of the Seminoles and still finds a lot of things to like about them.
"I really like everything," said Jackson. "The atmosphere, the campus, the coaches, I could keep going on and on about Florida State."
Jackson has already been up to Florida State and plans to see the Seminoles play twice more this season. He will be in Tallahassee to watch Florida State play Idaho on November 23rd and in Gainesville when Florida State plays Florida on November 30th.
Jackson is looking for a school that feels like home.
"I'm looking for a school with great academics," Jackson said. "I want to go somewhere where I feel comfortable, a place that feels like home."
The 6-foot-1, 245-pound middle linebacker is the No. 5 rated middle linebacker and the No. 181 player overall in the Scout 300.
