Miami (Fla.) Miami Central 2014 defensive tackle Fredrick Jones Committed to Florida State back in July. He is a legacy for the Seminoles as his father, uncle, and cousin have all played for Florida State.

Jones says that he is firmly committed to Florida State and has even been doing some recruiting for the Seminoles.

"I talk to Dalvin [Cook] once or twice a week," Jones said. "We just talk about Florida State." Jones has a very good relationship with his future position coach Odell Haggins.

"Coach Haggins is a very good coach," Jones said. "He knows what he is doing out there."

He made the trip up from Miami to watch the Seminoles take on the Hurricanes. He liked what he saw out of the Florida State defense.

"The atmosphere was awesome," Jones said. "The defense is doing a great job of shutting teams down and causing turnovers."

The defense isn't the only thing that Jones likes about the Seminoles.

"[I like] the school, the education, the town, and all the sports," Jones said.

Jones, 6-foot-2, 275-pounds, is a 3-star prospect and the 50th rated defensive tackle in the country. He isn't sure yet if he will take visits or not, but that Duke, Northern Illinois, and Purdue could get visits.
