One offer that Philpott is currently waiting on is the home town Seminoles.
"I talk with wide receivers coach [Lawrence] Dawsey a lot," Philpott said. "I'm hoping they offer soon."
Philpott took visits to Florida State for the Miami game and the NC State game. He came away very impressed with the atmosphere.
"I really enjoyed my visits to Florida State," Philpott said. "The atmosphere was great. It is a great place to play football."
Philpott only had one catch in North Florida Christian's first round blow out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Harvest Community, but he made it one worth noticing. Philpott beat his defender deep and would have had a sure touchdown if the ball hadn't been underthrown. It still ended up being a 55 yard reception. His run blocking skills were also very impressive and led to at least one of their touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver is currently the No. 50 rated wide receiver in the 2015 class.
