The Jameis Winston case is closed, and the Florida State star will not be charged with sexual assault, with no chance of this case reopening in the future.
Jeff Cameron of 97.9 ESPN Radio in Tallahassee has confirmed
with a "public relations professional… asked to advise on the written statement" that State Attorney Willie Meggs will announce on Thursday that Florida State
quarterback Jameis Winston
will not be charged with sexual assault.
Allegations that Winston had been involved in a sexual assault have swirled for almost a month, but the source has informed Cameron that "the decision is final," with no chance of Winston being charged in connection to this case in the future.
We will continue to provide updates as the afternoon develops.
