Ryan Green Out After Shoulder Surgery

Ryan Green will miss the remainder of spring practice after having shoulder surgery.

It's a rule of thumb that every team needs four solid running backs because of the wear and tear at the position, and this spring at Florida State is showing why.

Five-star recruit and early enrollee Dalvin Cook will have to wait until the fall for his first practice after having surgery to repair a torn labrum before spring practice began, and now sophomore back Ryan Green has joined Cook with his shoulder in a sling, as Jimbo Fisher confirmed Green has had shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the spring.

To add insult to injury, redshirt sophomore Mario Pender tweaked a hamstring at the end of the first scrimmage, leaving Karlos Williams—who has been in a blue jersey all spring—as the only healthy Seminole tailback.

Fortunately for the Noles, none of the three injuries is serious or should affect the fall.
