Three Noles Fail NFL Combine Drug Test

Three former Florida State stars are among those whose NFL Combine drug test results have been flagged.

FoxSport's Jay Glazer is reporting that former Florida State stars Timmy Jernigan, Telvin Smith, and Christian Jones were among more than ten players tested at the NFL Combine who were flagged as either testing positive for drugs or having a diluted sample.

The players' agents declined FOX Sports' requests for comment. Glazer's report observed that more players' test results were flagged than has been typical in recent years, with LSU's Anthony Johnson and Zach Mettenberger and Miami's Seantrel Henderson among other notables failing Combine drug tests.

It is unclear at this point whether Jernigan, Smith, or Jones tested positive for a specific drug or whether their samples were flagged for overly diluted urine. It is also unclear just how much this will affect their individual draft stocks in advance of Thursday's first round.
