Camp Jimbo: Day Three Top Performers

Wayne McGahee breaks down the top prospects at the third day of the Jimbo Fisher Camp

While day three of the Jimbo Fisher camp wasn’t as star studded as the first two days there were still quite a few highly touted prospects in Tallahassee on Friday. Here are the top five performers from today.

2016 CB John Broussard

Broussard was the overall top corner at the camp and may be the top performer of the camp overall with Janarius Robinson. Broussard has great size (5-foot-11 to 6-foot) and moves extremely well. One of the most fluid corners I have seen this year. Coach Kelly spent a lot of time with him.

2015 CB Davante Davis

Davis had a very good day in the individual drills and one on ones. He is a legitimate 6-foot-2 and moves very well for one of the bigger corners. Another fantastic prospect to come out of Booker T Washington in Miami. Coach Kelly spent a lot of time with him.

2016 TE Jamal Couch

Couch was dealing with a hip injury during the drills, but was still one of the most athletic recruits at today’s camp. He is in the 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5 range and moves very well for someone that size. While he needs to put on some weight if he wants to play tight end he still has two years to do that. He just moved over from the defensive side of the ball. Coach Brewster spent some time with him during the drills.

2015 WR Antonio Calloway

Calloway was the dominant receiver in today’s camp winning reps against both Broussard and Davis. He has great top end speed and looked very fluid in his cuts. Another Booker T recruit. Was offered by Jimbo today.

2015 OG Jalen Merrick

Merrick was on this list yesterday as well. He has been dominant in his one on one reps and has great size. Rick Trickett spent a lot of time working with him on his technique. Definitely a guy that Florida State will look at going forward.
