Jesus Wilson Pleads Down to Misdemeanor

Florida State wide receiver Jesus "Bobo" Wilson has agreed to a plea deal lowering his charges to misdemeanor theft, making him eligible to return to the football team.

Jesus "Bobo" Wilson has agreed to a plea deal that makes him eligible for return to the Florida State football team. Wilson was initially charged with felony grand theft auto for stealing a motorized scooter earlier this summer.

Under the terms of the deal, the charges have been lowered to a misdemeanor, while Wilson will serve 30 jail work camp days and be on probation for a year. Wilson has already paid restitution to the owner of the scooter.

Under FSU athletic department rules, with the felony tag dropped, Wilson is now eligible to return to team competition immediately. He was able to continue to train with his teammates through the summer despite the charges.

With the criminal process out of the way, we still expect Wilson to receive significant punishment from head coach Jimbo Fisher, including a likely suspension to begin the year.
