Florida State Practice Report: 10/2

Florida State finishes up their last practice in preparation for Wake Forest.

Florida State was in shells and shorts today. Starting Defensive tackle Derrick Mitchell started practice on the stationary bike and was not participating in drills. Backup defensive tackle Justin Shanks started on the bike as well, but he was participating in defensive tackle drills. Freshman safety Trey Marshall was not at practice, and freshman linebacker Jacob Pugh was in a non-contact jersey. Both Mario Pender and Mario Edwards Jr. were participating fully.

Ukeme Eligwe was taking reps with the first team kickoff coverage unit for the first time this fall. He was also participating in linebacker drills and looks to be fully healthy.

Mathew Thomas continues to work with the linebackers in drills against the scout team. I doubt if he would be participating in those drills if Florida State didn’t expect him back this year. Kain Daub continues to work with the scout team and is expected to redshirt this season.

Jimbo Fisher will be speaking after practice.
