Florida State Practice Report: 10/7

Florida State returns to pads missing key starters.

Florida State returned to pads on Tuesday and so did freshman safety Trey Marshall. Marshall was in a non-contact jersey for most of drills. Karlos Williams and DeMarcus Christmas were both in boots and not participating. Rashad Greene was not dressed or participating in any drills. Christian Green returned to practice today.

Freshman Rick Leonard was working with the defensive tackles during drills and not with the defensive ends.

Cam Erving was back at left tackle with Ryan Hoefield taking the snaps at center. Freshman Corey Martinez was also taking some snaps at center as well.

As Jimbo said in his press conference yesterday, Florida State expects Mathew Thomas to play and he continues to work with the regular linebacker unit.

Derrick Mitchell looked to be moving much better than yesterday when the knee injury still looked to be affecting him.

Jimbo will be speaking after practice.
