The Florida State Women’s Soccer team earned a No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles defeated fourth ranked Virginia to clinch their second consecutive ACC championship. Florida State is currently 18-1-1 on the season and will host South Alabama on Friday, Nov. 14th. Also in the Tallahassee regional is Boston University and Northeastern.
The Florida State regional is paired with the Wisconsin regional that includes UCF, Georgia, and DePaul. Florida State will host all the games till the final four if they win. This is the second consecutive year that Florida State has been a 1-seed. The Seminoles will try to one up last season’s National Runner up finish from last season. The ACC received six bids to the tournament: Virginia, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame.
