The Florida-Florida State rivalry has produced some of the best college football games of all time. Over the past 25 years it has been arguably the most important rivalry game in the country with the two teams combining to win 6 National Championships. It has also produced plenty of great single game performances as well. Here are our Top-5 single game performances by Florida State players against Florida.
5. Kelvin Benjamin 2013
Kelvin Benjamin racked up 212 yards on 9 receptions and 3 touchdowns to help Florida State to a 37-7 victory. Florida’s defense came into the game ranked in the Top-5 against the pass, but it didn’t matter as Benjamin went over, around, and through the Gator defenders in the romp.
4. Warrick Dunn 1996
In a match of Top-2 teams, no player stood taller than the 5’9 Dunn. He accounted for 185 yards rushing and 23 yards receiving as Florida State took down the No. 1 Gators. Florida State would need every bit of it as the Noles gutted out a 24-21 victory.
3. Ron Sellers 1967
Florida State had never won in Gainesville until Sellers broke loose in 1967. The Florida State great had 153 yards on 7 receptions and a touchdown that helped the Noles pull out a 21-16 victory. Considering the lack of passing at this point in time those numbers are truly astounding.

Kanell finished 40-53 for 421 yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 1 rushing touchdown. The Noles and Gators tied that day, but Florida State would get the last laugh winning 23-17 in the Sugar Bowl a month later.
1. Charlie Ward 1993
Florida State traveled to Gainesville with the Seminoles first National Championship on the line, and future Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward was stellar.
