12/19 Florida State Practice Report (Updated)

Florida State continued its preparation for Oregon on Friday.

Florida State practiced for the last time before the team left for California in pads on Friday. Rain started coming down during the outside portion of practice, and the team moved into the IPF for the remainder of the open period.

Eddie Goldman and Chad Mavety were not dressed again. Trey Marshall, Kevin Haplea, and Tyler Hunter were all fully participating after missing the last few practices with injuries. Tre Jackson was participating after missing Tuesday’s practice with an illness. Karlos Williams was dressed and participating. Dalvin Cook was in a non-contact jersey. Terrance Smith was in pads, but limited during drills.

Nile Lawrence-Stample was in shells again, but was participating in warmups for the first time. He was also participating in ball swarming drills. The drill was being run quickly trying to simulate Oregon’s fast tempo offense. The defensive coaches were very vocal in emphasizing the importance of getting back to the line.

Kain Daub was not at practice again. He hasn’t been at practice all week.

Post Practice Update

Jimbo said that there are no academic casualties this semester.

Eddie Goldman will return to practice tomorrow.

Nile Lawrence-Stample may be fully participating with the first team by Sunday. Contact included.

Jimbo believes that the ruling from Jameis Winston's code of conduct hearing should be out before the Rose Bowl.
