12/22 FSU Practice/Post Practice Report

Florida State continues their preparation for the Rose Bowl against Oregon.

Florida State returned to practice for the final time before Christmas break in shells. Kareem Are and Chad Mavety were both back fully participating. Derrick Mitchell was not dressed or participating. Ronald Darby had a very large brace on his left elbow.

Eddie Goldman and Nile Lawrence-Stample were both fully participating. Goldman’s ankle was heavily taped, but he was moving well. Lawrence-Stample looks to be in excellent condition, at least in the lower body. He definitely didn’t skip leg day while he was injured.

Terrance Smith was dressed with a brace on his left knee. He was not participating in linebacker drills, but did take part in warm-ups and was working on agility drills on the sideline. He did seem to be moving better than he was last week.

Kain Daub was not at practice again.

Post Practice Report:

Jimbo was very pleased with the effort and attitude of the team. Said that around this time of the year some players are already checked out for the holiday, but that’s not the case with this team.

Jimbo said he is very happy for Jameis and his family. Also said that they’ve dealt with it, but that it’s a relief to be done with it.

Jimbo said Nile Lawrence-Stample and Eddie Goldman have been fully participating and going “Good on Good” for the past three days.

Derrick Mitchell got the day off today. Jimbo said,” When the GPS tells you to give them a day off you give them a day off.”

Kain Daub will not be making the trip to Pasadena with the team. No details were given.
