2017 S Cyrus Fagan Names FSU His Leader

2017 safety Cyrus Fagan talks about his Junior Day visit to Florida State.

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland 2017 safety Cyrus Fagan picked up an offer from Florida State during his visit to Tallahassee on Saturday. He currently holds over 15 offers including Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, UCLA, and Wisconsin. Fagan grew up a fan of the Seminoles and had been waiting for this offer.

“I’ve liked Florida State all my life,” Fagan said. “I like the way they are brothers and they teach each other to be men on the field and off.”

Despite getting the Florida State offer Fagan said he wasn’t ready to make a commitment just yet.

“I wouldn’t know right now,” Fagan said.” I’m going to go home and talk to my parents and see what’s the best idea for me.”

Fagan was able to spend some time with defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Charles Kelly during his visit.

“He’s a great guy,” Fagan said. “He’s going to tell you the truth he’s not going to lie to you… I like the way he’s on the sidelines jumping up and down like he’s the 12th man on the field.”

While he wasn’t ready to commit just yet he did name Florida State his top team.

“They are my favorite,” Fagan said. “I can’t hide that they’re my favorite. I felt chills run through my body when I got out of the car and walked into this facility, but it has something to do with my childhood too. It’s just all put together.”

Fagan measured in at 6-foot, 169.6-pounds during the visit.
