Florida State 4th Quarter Drills Update

Florida State concluded their 4th Quarter program with a final practice that was open to the media. The NoleDigest observations are below.

Kain Daub is no longer with the football team. He will be transferring to East Mississippi C.C. per TomahawkNation.

John Franklin III is staying at quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Ja’Von Harrison is also staying at wide receiver.

Ro’Derrick Hoskins was working with the defensive ends throughout the drills. He looked a lot bigger than last year.

There were quite a few players that were on the sidelines on the bike or jogging laps.

Jimbo said Phillips injury was a groin injury that the muscle tore and balled up. The doctors released it and tied it back and he will be fine. He will miss spring practice.

Jimbo said that this years group of early enrollees have picked things up faster than any other group he’s had. He specifically mentioned Derwin James and DeAndre Johnson’s efforts today due to them having a stomach illness this week.

Jimbo also mentioned Lorenzo Featherston, Jacob Pugh, Derrick Nnadi, and Roderick Johnson as second year guys that have really stood out.

Jimbo said that Jalen Ramsey will play every where in the secondary. They believe he has the intelligence to play every position in the secondary.
