FSU Still On Top For Ross

Florida State was the first offer for 2017 Ahman Ross, and they remain on top for his services.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles School 2017 safety Ahman Ross took another visit to Tallahassee for the Florida State spring game. He had previously come to Florida State for one of their Junior Days in February. Ross holds two offers at this point from Florida State and Miami.

Florida State came through with the early offer for Ross and Florida State remains his leader after his recent visit.

“It was great,” Ross said “It was a pretty good game and I had a great conversation with coach Kelly and Haggins about me attending camp this summer. Florida State’s still my leader right now.”

In addition to talking to him about attending one of the camps at Florida State this summer, defensive coordinator Charles Kelly talked to him about other things.

“We talked about what I’ve been doing football wise right now and that’s 7 on 7,” Ross said. “He also talked about coming to see me in the spring.”

Florida State has been on top for a while now, and Ross had plenty of reasons as to why.

“Every time I visit it’s a great atmosphere,” Ross said. “I have a great relationship with the coaches. They are very honest and genuine. Another think I like is they tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.”

Ross thought about committing on the trip, but is going to take his time.

“It was definitely a thought, but I’m not really in a rush,” Ross said. “I have plenty of time.”

He plans to attend the Jimbo Fisher Camp in June.
