Coral Gables (Fla.) Senior 4-star running back Amir Rasul committed to Miami in January. However, since then multiple teams have turned up their recruitment of the speedster. Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and UNC are the schools that are recruiting him the hardest right now.
Rasul still considers himself a Miami commitment at this point, but it’s by a very thin margin.
“It’s medium,” Rasul said. “Not solid.”
The five schools that Amir listed above have all visited him this spring as well as Wisconsin, Toledo, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Alabama.
Rasul has a great attitude about what all the attention means to him.
“I’m very blessed,” Rasul said. “I’m thankful that I’m in this position and I know that if I don’t work it will be taken away from me in a heart beat.”
The Hurricanes are still coming after him hard and he said he has a great relationship with all of the Miami coaches. He also has a great relationship with Florida State running backs coach Jay Graham.
“He’s like an uncle to me,” Rasul said.
Rasul doesn’t have any visits scheduled yet this summer, but he will likely be making return trips to all the in state schools.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back is the No. 13 ranked running back and No. 199 recruit overall in the 2016 Scout 300.
