FSU Bounces Back With 3-1 Win Over Clemson

Florida State ended a five game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Clemson.

Florida State bounced back from getting swept by Clemson just three days ago with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers in the ACC Tournament.

Starter Boomer Biegalski was dominant through the first six innings before running into a bit of trouble in the seventh. His final line was 6.1 innings of scoreless baseball while allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts.

The Seminoles did all of their scoring in the third inning when All American D.J. Stewart had a two RBI triple off the wall in left. Quincy Neiporte followed that up with a single to right and Florida State led 3-0.

Clemson had their chances late in the game having multiple runners on base in each of the last three innings. The Tigers could only muster one run as Billy Strode completed the five out save.

Florida State improves to 1-0 in the ACC Tournament and will play North Carolina Thursday at 7 PM. Mike Compton will get the start for the Seminoles.
