Billy Strode drafted by the Indians

Florida State Closer Billy Strode became the third Seminole drafted in the 2015 MLB draft.

Florida State closer Billy Strode was drafted in the 10th round by the indians. He was selected 304th overall. A starter in 2014 Strode made the move to closer in 2015 after the departure of Jameis Winston.

Strode made 30 appearances on the season and threw 35.0 innings while giving up just 7 earned runs. His 1.80 ERA was lowest among pitchers with at least 30 innings on the team. He struck out 46 batters this season and opponents batted a paltry .189 against him. He finished with 14 saves on the season.
