FSU Offers Eighth Grade Linebacker Pappoe

Florida State offered their second 2019 prospect in as many days.

Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 2019 linebacker Owen Pappoe has seen his recruitment blow up over the last month. The eighth grader already had offers from Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Tennessee, and picked up his 10th offer on Saturday when Florida State offered while he was visiting Tallahassee.

Pappoe was really impressed with the way the Florida State coaches treated him.

“I really liked how the coaches treated me and the facilities,” Pappoe said. “I really like how coach fisher has the team going right now.”

He was able to spend some time with linebackers coach Bill Miller, defensive coordinator Charles Kelly, and head coach Jimbo Fisher.

“They said they fell in love with me once they watched my film and that they’ve been looking at me for a while” Pappoe said. “They really like my size.”

It’s far too early for the 2019 prospect to make a decision and he has all schools on a level playing field. He does plan to come back to Florida State later this summer.

“I’m gonna try to make it down some time in July,” Pappoe said. “I can’t make it to the camp because of a 7on7, but I’m going to come back down. They wanted to meet my parents so I’m going to try and come down.”

Pappoe is already 6-foot-1, 190-pounds.
