Top DE Robinson Recruiting for FSU

Florida State defensive end commit Janarius Robinson made a big impact on the recruiting trail for the Seminoles this weekend.

Panama City (Fla.) Bay 2016 4-star defensive end Janarius Robinson committed to Florida State back in September 2014. Since then he’s blown up into one of the top recruits in the country, and seen his recruitment pick up as well. Despite that, Robinson remains committed to the Seminoles and was their top recruiter this week at the Jimbo Fisher Camp.

VanDarius Cowan, a 2017 4-star defensive end, committed to Florida State during the camp, and Robinson was in his ear the whole time.

“I was just real with him,” Robinson said. “Just telling him why I committed here and stuff like that.”

Cowan wasn’t the only top prospect that Robinson was working on. He spent a good amount of time with 2016 4-star cornerback Nigel Knott as well.

“We were just hanging out,” Robinson said. “Just getting to know him. I met him when I was in New Orleans for the Opening. So he was on a visit here and I was just telling him about Florida State. He seed to enjoy his visit.”

Robinson, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound monster, comes in as the No. 6 defensive end and No. 48 overall recruit in the 2016 Scout 300. He plans to visit USC, Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama in the coming months as well as getting back to Florida State.
