Dexter Jackson comes in at No. 72 on our list of the Top-75 players in Florida State football history. Jackson was named to the 2nd team All-ACC both his junior and senior year. He finished his career with 192 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 7 interceptions, 16 pass breakups, and 4 blocked field goals. Two of those blocked field goals came in the same game in 1996 when Florida State played No. 11 North Carolina. The Seminoles won 13-0.
Jackson was selected in the fourth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1999 NFL Draft. He played in the NFL for 10 seasons and was named Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl XXXVII after he intercepted two Rich Gannon Passes. He started 86 games in his pro career and finished with 348 tackles, 17 interceptions, and 41 passes defensed.
