FSU All-Time Rankings: No. 66 Telvin Smith

We continue our countdown to kickoff with Telvin Smith, who comes in at No. 66 in our all-time Florida State player rankings.

Telvin Smith comes in at No. 66 on the all-time Florida State player rankings list. He was a major contributor as a backup for his first three years, but really shined when he got the chance to start as a senior. Smith was the unquestioned vocal leader of that defense and helped lead the Seminoles to a No. 1 ranking in the defensive F/+ ratings. He was rewarded with a first team All-ACC honor that year. He finished his career at Florida State with 214 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 4 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns), and 11 pass breakups.

Smith was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Smith started earning playing time after week 7 of his rookie year, and moved into a starting role after their week 11 bye. He is expected to start for the Jaguars again this season.
