Florida State Offensive Big Board For 2016

Signing day is just around the corner. Take a look at who FSU has committed and who they are targeting on the offensive side of the ball.

With signing day just around the corner we take a look at the recruits left on Florida State's offensive board. The Seminoles currently sit just outside the Top-5 in the Scout.com rankings, and will make a strong push as signing day nears.

Florida State has found their guy in Henry and if he sticks with his commitment Florida State will be done at the position. Henry camped at Florida State in July and committed to the Seminoles in November. Originally from California he has transferred to IMG Academy in Florida and has been recruiting for Florida State. Henry has since left IMG and transferred to Long Beach Poly. Henry has enrolled at Florida State.

Florida State got their man in Amir Rasul. The versatile athlete is a two sport star and will be joining the Florida State track team as well. He has very good vision, runs very strong, and cuts on a dime. Rasul plans to take visits during January, but Florida State will bring him in and do their best to hold on to him.

Wide Receiver

Seniors: None

Needs: 1-2

Commits:None

On the Board:

After landing 7 receiver commitments in the last two seasons, receiver isn’t a position of priority for the Seminoles in 2016. That means Florida State can be picky and hold out for the receivers they want. Gavin decommitted from Florida State, and Alabama has made a run at him. Florida State has not stopped recruiting him, and it will come down to those two teams. Nate Craig is the other top wide receiver on the board at the moment. The Seminoles are still hard after Craig, but he's been fading away from Florida State lately.

Tight End

Needs: 1

On the Board:

Florida State lost Nauta, but picked up Upshur. The Florida State coaches love his tenacity and toughness. They were recruiting Upshur and would have taken him regardless of Nauta's commitment. Angeline's recruitment is very interesting because he doesn't do interviews. The Seminoles have continues to recruit him.

Offensive Line

Seniors: None

Needs: 3–4

Commits:

Johnson is the No. 2 rated center in the country and will likely be No. 1 by the end of this cycle. He was dominant at the Orlando Opening camp against a very good group of offensive linemen. Boselli isn't the most athletic player, but he is technically sound and takes coaching very well. He is a perfect fit for coach Trickett, and is an early enrollee. Ball committed to Florida State in early June right after a visit to Tallahassee. His attention to detail and technique make him one of the most underrated prospects in the country. Arnold's recruitment came out of nowhere. Florida State offered him, and two days later he's committing. He was not announced as one of the early enrollees for the 2016 class, and that currently has his status up in the air.

On the Board :

A lot of the guys listed can play either position and that is something that the Seminole coaching staff looks for. Dickerson, and Williams are the top linemen left on the board. Dickerson is the top player on their board at this position, but Williams is also highly coveted. The staff will take both if they want in. Reese was on this board originally, but was removed after not camping or visiting FSU this year. Now he's taking an official, and FSU would take his commitment.
