FSU All-Time Rankings: No. 58 Lawrence Dawsey

Only 58 days left to kickoff and we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history with No. 58 Lawrence Dawsey.

Wide Receiver Lawrence Dawsey comes in at No. 58 on our list of All-Time Florida State football players. Dawsey sits in the Top-10 of nearly every major Florida State receiving category. He was named a first team All-American his senior year by the Associated Press and the Football Writers Association. He finished his career with 2,129 yards and 20 receiving touchdowns. He had one rushing touchdown as well.

Dawsey was drafted in the third round of the 1991 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was named to the All-Rookie team in 1991 with 55 receptions for 818 yards and four touchdowns. He was named the UPI NFC Rookie of the Year that year. Dawsey played in the NFL for seven years and finished his career with 3,271 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.

Dawsey is currently the wide receivers coach at Florida State and has held that position since 2007.
