Cornerback Greg Reid comes in at No. 56 on our all-time Florida State player rankings. Reid was an electrifying athlete on returns and defense, and, despite being only 5-foot-9, he played much bigger than his size. He was named a consensus freshman All-American as a return specialist after leading the nation with 18.4 yards per return. As a sophomore he broke the record for kickoff return yardage with 742 yards. He was named defensive MVP of the Chick-Fil-A bowl against South Carolina after forcing two fumbles and breaking up four passes.
His career was cut short after he was dismissed from the team before the 2012 season. He finished his career with 120 tackles, 7 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 1 interception return for a touchdown, and three punt return touchdowns.
Reid transferred to Valdosta State after leaving Florida State, but suffered a knee injury that ended his college career.
He currently plays for the Jacksonville Sharks in the Arena league.
