Top Prospects Flock To FSU for Camp

Quite a few top prospects across multiple classes made the trip to Tallahassee for the first day of the Jimbo Fisher Camp.

Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher Camp always attracts a lot of the top prospects, but the first day of this year’s camp was filled with top recruits from around the country. A lot of the top prospects weren’t working out, but were taking in the visit.

Florida State commits 5-star Levonta Taylor, 4-star defensive end Janarius Robinson, 4-star tight end Isaac Nauta, and 4-star cornerback Kyle Meyers were all hanging out on the sidelines. They were joined by 2016 4-star offensive tackle E.J Price, and some 2017 recruits like 4-star cornerback Stanford Samuels III, 4-star defensive end Robert Beal, 4-star defensive end Eric Crosby, and 2018 quarterback Joey Gatewood.

A few Florida State commits were participating during the first day. 4-star quarterback Malik Henry dominated once again and 2017 4-stars D.J. Matthews, VanDarius Cowan, and Ja’len Parks were all participating. Matthews may have been the best player on the field. 2017 4-star defensive tackle Cory Durden spent a lot of time working with coach Odell Haggins and could be picking up an offer soon.

There should be even more talent there on Thursday as more prospects make the trip for a full day rather than a half day. 5-star wide receiver Nate Craig is already making his way to Tallahassee and 5-star defensive linemen Shavar Manuel and Nick Bosa are expected as well.

One thing is certain, don’t expect Florida State to go anywhere anytime soon with this many top recruits wanting to visit.
