Post Jimbo Fisher Camp Recruiting Update

Get the latest on where Florida State recruiting stands after the Jimbo Fisher Camp.

2016:

Malik Henry has been on campus and made it very clear that he's sticking with his commitment to FSU. The plan is still for him to early enroll.

FSU made a big move for Richard Merritt this week. At first he wasn't happy with the way Trickett was coaching him, but realized that was how he was with all of his players and that he wasn't just singling him out. He needs to lose some weight, but FSU feels very good there.

Landon Dickerson has FSU in his top-6 and Florida State feels very confident they're going to get an official out of him. They like him at tackle.

Josh Ball is firmly locked into Florida State. He loved working with Trickett.

Isaac Nauta is still taking visits to UGA, but he's been down to FSU multiple times now. He's very firm to FSU, but Georgia keeps getting him on campus.

Terrell Lucas was the only 2016 linebacker that may have earned himself an offer at camp. Miller and Kelly paid him a lot of attention.

Janarius Robinson continues to take visits, but he's very firm to Florida State. Nothing to worry about here.

2017

WR D.J. Matthews went out of his way to work with Henry and Gatewood when they were throwing. He's all about Florida State.

DE Robert Beal has FSU very high on his board and Florida State has him as the No. 1 defensive end in the 2017 class. Lawing loves him.

DE Guy Thomas says he has a FSU offer, but Miami leads there. He's Matt Thomas' little brother.

DT Cory Durden was getting a lot of interest from Odell, but hasn't picked up an offer yet. He's the teammate of FSU DT commit Ja'len Parks. I would expect an offer to come soon.

LB Jaden Hunter is Tyler Hunter's little brother and is still waiting on Florida State to offer. The coaching staff really liked him at the camp and i would expect an offer to come soon.

DB Maleik Gray has Florida State in his top-2 and I would be shocked if he ended up elsewhere. He has been to FSU multiple times and plans to come back for a game this season. He is at the very top of Florida State's board.

CB Jamyest Williams named Florida State as his No. 2 school behind Clemson last week, but Florida State feels very comfortable with where they sit for him. There's a big player in his recruitment that wants him in Tallahassee.

CB Stanford Samuels continues to have Florida State and Georgia as his Top-2. His dad isn't pushing him to Florida State, but it's abundantly clear where he wants him to go.

CB Jeffrey Okudah really enjoyed his visit to Florida State and will definitely have Florida State in his top group of schools. I don't expect him to stay instate in Texas.

CB Cyrus Fagan likes Alabama, but i'm betting that he's the next commitment that Florida State picks up.

2018

DE Xavier Thomas' first offer was FSU and that played a big part in getting him on campus, but he made it very clear that South Carolina is his dream school.

RB Lorenzo Lingard has a Florida State offer and Graham was all over him for all three days. FSU likes their chances there because they've been on him so long.

QB Joey Gatewood continues to be the top target at QB for FSU in 2018. Gatewood is getting daily calls from Auburn who think that he's the next Cam Newton. I would be very surprised if he didn't commit to FSU in the next few months.
