Defensive end Björn Werner comes in at No. 48 as we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history. Werner was an immediate contributor his freshman year in 2010 and moved into a starting role in 2011. He started his last 27 games for the Seminoles while earning consensus All-American honors his junior year. He was named first team All-ACC that year and was voted as the defensive player of the year. He finished his career with 99 tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception that was returned for a touchdown.
He was drafted 24th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He will compete for playing time as an outside linebacker for the Colts this season.
