Only 43 days left to kickoff and we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history with No. 43 Sammie Smith.

Running back Sammie Smith comes in at No. 43 as we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history. Smith sits just 12 yards behind Warrick Dunn from having the top-rushing season in Florida State history with 1230 yards. Smith was named an associated press honorable mention All-American in both his sophomore and junior seasons. He finished his career with 2,539 yards, 15 touchdowns, and a 6.2-yard per carry average. He also added three receiving touchdowns.

Smith was drafted with the 9th overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. He played in the league for four years. He finished his pro career with 1,881 yards and 15 touchdowns.

His biggest accomplishment at Florida State might not have been on the field, but in the best rap video of all time.
