Florida State starts their 2015 season off against Texas State on September 5th. The Bobcats were 7-5 last year and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. Former Alabama and Texas A&M Dennis Franchione is current head coach for Texas State. They return their starting quarterback Tyler Jones and starting running back Robert Lowe. They also return three of their Top-4 wide receivers, but none of them had more than 450 yards last season. Texas State finished 95th in the F/+ rankings in 2014, and shouldn’t be much of a problem for the Seminoles.
With Florida State scheduling Ole Miss and Alabama to start the 2016 and 2017 seasons this game may seem a bit pointless, but with the Seminoles replacing so many important contributors on both sides of the ball it will be a very important game to get the new starters time to work together in a game setting.
