Quarterback Casey Weldon comes in at No. 37 as we continue our countdown of the Top-75 players in Florida State history. During his career Weldon led Florida State to a 16-2 record as a starter and was inducted into the Florida State Hall of Fame in 1999. Weldon finished second for the Heisman behind Desmond Howard his senior year in 1991. He won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award given to the best quarterback in college football and was named to three first team All-American teams that year as well. He finished his career with 4,628 passing yards, 42 touchdowns, and just 15 interceptions.
Weldon was drafted in the fourth round of the 1992 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, but made his first appearance as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played in the NFL for seven years.
