Florida State Two-A-Day Practice Report: 8/11

Florida State had some players sitting out after the first padded practice of fall camp.

Florida State practiced for their second time in pads on Tuesday. A number of players that were participating on Sunday were sitting out today. Cole Minshew, George Cambell, and Deondre Francois were all not participating. Minshew and Francois were in boots. Calvin Brewton, Justin Shanks, and Tavarus McFadden were all sidelined again. Lorenzo Phillips was not at practice.

Vic was not happy with how quiet the team was this morning. He walked over Jacques Patrick and said,” You know how to wake these guys up? Run it right through their mouth Jacques.”

Chad Mavety was working in as the first team right guard with Wilson Bell and at right tackle with Derrick Kelly. Corey Martinez was once again the first team center.

Derrick Nnadi was back working with the first team defensive tackles.

Coach Fisher and coach Brewster were not happy with the effort level that Mavin Saunders was giving today.

Marcus Lewis returned to practice for a little while, but went back over to the trainers after about ten minutes.

Reggie Northrup was fully participating in the contact drills.

Scouts from the Browns, Jets, Lions, and Panthers were in attendance.
