Florida State Football 9/28 Practice Report

Florida State football started preparation for Wake today.

The team practiced in shells today.

Nate Andrews still has a club on his right hand. Jacob Pugh is not wearing a cast on his left hand. He still has it wrapped for you. Cole Minshew and Chad Mavety were practicing. Abdul Bello was not at practice.

Chris Casher, Lorenzo Featherston, and Marcus Lewis were all practicing.

Ryan Hoefeld was working as the first team center. Derrick Kelly was working as the first team right tackle. Kelly slipped during a drill and looked to injure himself. Kelly didn't look too badly injured, but did not participate further. Brock Ruble was filling in for him. Chad Mavety was the second team RT. Cole Minshew was the second team right guard. Alec Eberle at center, Corey Martinez at left guard, and Ethan Frith at left tackle rounded out the second team unit.

The running backs were doing drills with wet balls. They were soaking them in a water bucket prior to use.

Ryan Izzo looked to be moving full speed after being hobbled a bit last week.

A scout from the NY Jets was in attendance.
